    I. Product introduction


    The S180 Cable Identifier is designed for power cable engineers and cable workers to solve technical problems with cable identification. The user can accurately identify one of the target cables from multiple cables through the instrument, and avoid accidentally sawing the live cable and causing serious accidents. Cable identification begins with the operation at both ends of the cable and must ensure that the double numbers on both ends of the cable are accurate. No matter how reliable the memory of the field staff is, it is not a substitute for the identification of professional instruments. This product is only suitable for on-site identification of cables that have been powered off. It is strictly forbidden to connect the cable identifier to the running power cable! The instrument consists of a transmitter, a receiver, and a flexible current clamp.


    The transmitter uses the pulse current principle to inject a pulse current signal into the cable core. This current generates an electromagnetic field around the target cable for detection and identification by the receiver and the flexible current clamp. Since the current is directional, the detection is also directional. The transmitter adopts an integrated special toolbox design, using polypropylene plastic as raw material, adding a new composite filler into one injection molding, which has small density, strength, rigidity, hardness, wear resistance, heat resistance and insulation performance. The cabinet can withstand a pressure of about 200kg, and the host large LCD displays the remaining battery power in real time, and the white backlight and the dynamic signal of the transmitting signal are clear at a glance.

    The receiver is a handheld device with a 3.5-inch color LCD screen that dynamically displays current relevant information. Built-in high-speed microprocessor, real-time automatic detection and identification of target cable; with AC voltage detection function, range AC 0.01V ~ 600V (50Hz / 60Hz).


    The flexible current clamp is a Rockwell coil with excellent transient tracking capability to quickly identify the pulse current generated by the transmitter for thick cables or irregularly shaped conductors. The inner diameter of the jaw is about 200mm, and the cable of φ200mm or less can be clamped. It is not necessary to disconnect the line to be tested, non-contact measurement, safe and fast.

    Special note: According to the design principle of this instrument, the cable identifier is limited to the cable whose target cable is power failure. Please confirm that the target cable belongs to this range before use. When identifying, you need to use both the transmitter and the handheld receiver of the instrument.
